Wade's Jr. is the newest name to know. It is a counter-service spin-off from Wade's Restaurant, the Spartanburg institution that won a James Beard Foundation America's Classic Award in 2024, and it landed on Reidville Road earlier this year with the same meat-and-three menu in a faster, counter-service format. The Lindsey family, who has run Wade's since 1947, picked this stretch specifically because it reaches guests on the west side of Spartanburg who do not always make it to the flagship location, according to reporting from the Upstate Business Journal.
Round out the corridor with Sugar Tit Moonshine Distillery, a small operation that pairs its moonshine flavors with a retail area carrying local artisan goods like coffee, seasonings, and soap, and River Falls Cafe for coffee and an American-Cuban menu. None of it reads as a single "downtown Reidville" strip. It reads as a corridor, and that is exactly what it is.
The One Thing That Is Actually Reidville's Own
For all the borrowed addresses, Reidville does have one tradition that belongs to the town outright: its annual holiday parade.
